Gingold Legal was founded in 2014 by Scott Gingold, who has been helping clients solve their legal problems since 1998. Gingold Legal is dedicated to helping mature companies, small and medium-size businesses, and start-ups alike obtain superior results from their outside counsel at prices they find valuable.
How does one generate superior results at a great value? Scott Gingold believes it starts with being a good listener. His style is to work closely with clients to truly understand their legal problems and needs. He wants to get to know you well, and understand what “success” means for your company. He will discuss your options in a way you can understand them, make actionable recommendations, and work with you to decide which path forward is best.
Scott believes in devoting personal attention to every detail. Scott provides direct personal contact as often as you need it and is accessible and highly responsive. That means returning your calls and responding to your e-mails as soon as possible, answering any questions or concerns, and making sure you fully understand every recommended course of action – without legal jargon getting in the way. Meet Scott
Scott Gingold is the owner of Gingold Legal. He spent 12 years at some of the best law firms in the country, working on high stakes, complex litigation for corporate clients. Tapping in to his entrepreneurial spirit, he then founded the Chicago office for the leading strategy and economic consulting firm serving high tech industry legal clients, and also serving as the firm’s in-house counsel. Mr. Gingold is a lawyer and breathes law. But these two other business exposures – economics and strategy – provided him with unique business acumen, project budgeting and management skills that law firms simply do not teach.
Mr. Gingold is licensed to practice law in Illinois and is a member of the trial bar for the Northern District of Illinois and many other federal appellate and trial courts throughout the country.
Mr. Gingold received his law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law in 1998, where he was a John Henry Wigmore full academic scholarship recipient and served as the Student Bar Association President. Before that, he received a B.A. with honors and with highest distinction from the University of Michigan, where he was a James B. Angell scholarship recipient.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Gingold served for ten years as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Evanston. He also was a long-time volunteer coach for his children’s soccer and baseball teams.
